Axcel buys Temescal evaporation system (Materials and Equipment)
Temescal (Fairfield, CA) has shipped a BJD-1800 evaporation system to Axcel Photonics, a recent start-up company that develops and manufactures optoelectronic devices for telecommunications markets. The new system will be housed at Axcel s new 18 000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in Marlborough, MA. According to director of operations Kurt Linden, the facility will house epitaxial growth systems as well as equipment to manufacture, package and qualify laser diodes.
