LayTec ranks among Germany’s 50 fastest growing technology companies
Between 2004 and 2008 LayTec increased its turnover by 378% and therefore belongs to the 50 fastest growing companies in Germany and 500 fastest growing companies in Europe.
According to LayTec’s president and founder Dr. Thomas Zettler, “This award recognises LayTec’s extraordinary work in both its innovative development of metrology products and its successful organic growth strategy. We owe this success to the high commitment and dedication of the company’s employees and to the close collaboration with customers and business partners worldwide.”
Founded in October 1999 as a spin-off of the Technical University Berlin, LayTec quickly became a market leader in compound semiconductor process monitoring instrumentation, especially for LED production. Additionally, LayTec recently released a product line for in-line metrology of photovoltaics, oxides and organic materials.
LayTec’s products improve development speed, quality control, process reproducibility and yield. Fast-paced product development is fueled by a continuing dialogue with our customers. Supported through an international network of local distributors, we work closely together with productionline end customers, equipment manufacturers and leading research institutions.
In 2007 LayTec recognized the strong potential for its products among thin-film solar cell producers. After less than a year of concentrated engineering and testing, LayTec’s first in-line monitoring system for photovoltaic thin-film applications was launched. Now we are cooperating with numerous partners to further develop cutting edge in-situ and in-line metrology solutions for the complete range of photovoltaic thin-film processes.
