Emcore Honored with Supplier Excellence Award by Space Systems/Loral
The award was presented for Emcore's performance in supplying high-Efficiency multi-junction solar cells for powering SS/L's satellite missions.
Emcore Corporation, a major provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the fiber optic and solar power markets, has received a Supplier Excellence Award from Space Systems Loral (SS/L).
Emcore has been a supplier to SS/L for the past 12 years and is presently under a long-term supply agreement contract to manufacture and deliver high-efficiency, multi-junction solar cells for SS/L's satellite programs. The production of the solar cells under this contract takes place at Emcore's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A.
