RFMD(R) to Present Innovative New Products and Technologies
RF Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:RFMD), a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance radio frequency components and compound semiconductor technologies, today announced the Company will present its diverse portfolio of radio frequency components for the global mobile device market at the 2010 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, from February 15 to February 18.
Products to be highlighted by RFMD® at the 2010 Mobile World Congress include a revolutionary new RF configurable power core(TM) for 3G/4G multimode, multi-band smartphones and an extensive portfolio of power amplifier-based and switch-based products for GSM/GPRS, EDGE, WEDGE, WCDMA, LTE, Wi-Fi and WiMAX devices. RFMD will also present its wireless infrastructure product portfolio and its family of microwave point-to-point radios. RFMD's product demonstrations will include a high power broadband gallium nitride (GaN) power amplifier design for cellular base stations that transmits at greater than 50% efficiency over the 728-960 megahertz band.
