Plasma-Therm Wins Customer Satisfaction Awards
Company earns awards for 16th straight year from survey of semiconductor equipment customers
Plasma-Therm, a global provider of semiconductor equipment, has again earned top awards for customer satisfaction in an annual industry survey, the company announced Wednesday. This is the 16th consecutive year Plasma-Therm has received awards in the Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by VLSIresearch, a provider of market research and economic analysis in the semiconductor, nanotechnology and related industries.
“It’s gratifying to have that recognition from our customers,” Plasma-Therm CEO Abdul Lateef said of the awards. “It reflects on the performance of our systems for a wide variety of specialty semiconductor applications, and the emphasis we place on supporting customers over the long term.”
VLSIresearch announced today that Plasma-Therm received the following awards from the 2014 Customer Satisfaction Survey:
· 10 BEST — Focused Suppliers of Chip Making Equipment.
· THE BEST — Suppliers of Fab Equipment.
The “10 BEST” awards recognize the top-rated suppliers of fab, test, and assembly equipment together, in categories based on a three-year average of revenues: “Large” suppliers and “Focused” suppliers.
“THE BEST” awards recognize performance by equipment suppliers based on equipment type, including Fab (chip fabrication), Test, Assembly, Materials, Display, and others.
According to VLSIresearch, the annual Customer Satisfaction Survey is the only publicly available opportunity since 1988 for customers to provide feedback to suppliers of semiconductor, display, and solar-power equipment, as well as suppliers of related materials and subsystems.
Plasma-Therm develops and manufactures systems for plasma processing, which are used to etch and deposit high-tech materials. Its systems, including VERSALINE and MicroDieSingulator, perform process steps for fabricating integrated circuits, photomasks, LEDS, power devices, and other forms of nanotechnology that are used in everything from smartphones and cars to research labs and space-exploration missions.
VLSIresearch said survey participants worldwide were asked to rate equipment suppliers among 15 categories based on three key factors: supplier performance, customer service, and product performance. A total of 3,516 surveys were returned, resulting in 55,918 total responses.
