Anadigics' new VCOs suit point-to-point wireless backhaul applications
Anadigics has today announced a new product family of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) for point-to-point wireless backhaul networks. Frequency bands covered range from 7.3 to 8.2 GHz for the AMV8901 VCO up to 12.4 to 13.7GHz for the AMV8909.
The new VCOs, which are built using the company's HBT(heterojunction bipolar transistor) process are said to offer outstanding output power and phase noise performance at the industry's highest order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM).
The oscillators feature integrated divide-by-2 and divide-by-4 with internal resonators. This level of performance and integration is offered in a 5 mm by 5 mm, 32-lead package with an industry-standard pinout.
