ALT uses Cree LEDs for latest products

New LEDS bring hIgh efficiency and improved colour rendering

ALT, a high-power LED lighting brand in Taiwan, has announced new products equipped with Cree's latest LED chips - the  XPL and single light source Cree MHB and MHD  - in order to improve the lighting quality.

Cree XPL is claimed to be the first commercially available single-die LED to achieve breakthrough efficacy of up to 200 lumens per watt (LPW). Although the price is higher than normal chipsets, ALT says the high efficiency of the chipset combines with ALT's patterned heat-dissipation and power management technology to bring advantages to customers.

So far, ALT is the first lighting manufacture using XPL in many kinds of indoor and outdoor products including MR16, chandelier light, PAR lamp, streetlight and floodlight.

It says that the high lumen output of the upgraded ALT FlameTech Chandelier with XPL makes it the perfect replacement for 40W incandescent bulb, and can be applied to more applications.

Using a 92W floodlight with XPL can replace 145W XBD chipset floodlight. "It's a great solution to consume less energy while the lighting cost is reduced too, "  says ALT.
