MiaSolé appoints new US sales rep
MiaSolé, a Sunnyvale-based producer of CIGS solar technology (now part of the Hanergy group), has announced a sales agreement with Whitehead & Associates, a US power and energy solutions and services company.
Whitehead & Associates will sell MiaSolé FLEX modules in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
MiaSolé FLEX modules have an efficiency rating of over 16 percent, according to the company, and come in two versions designed for sloped commercial single-ply roof systems, and for standing-seam metal roofs. Both modules bond to the roof surface with a peel-and-stick adhesive, which is said to provide a lower cost than traditional glass solar systems. The low weight of the module allows installation on roofs that cannot support the weight of traditional glass solar panels.
