Custom MMIC adds new Distributed Amplifier

Offers 14dB of gain from 2 to 20 GHz

Custom MMIC has the added CMD238 2-20GHz amplifier to its BroadRange Distributed Amplifier portfolio.

The CMD238 is a wideband GaAs MMIC distributed amplifier designed for wideband applications requiring high linearity in a small die size.

From 2 to 20GHz, this amplifier delivers 14dB of gain with an output P1dB of +26dBm, an output IP3 of +34 dBm and a 2nd harmonic level of -33dBc. It operates from a 5 to 8 V power upply. The CMD238 is a pin-compatible replacement for the obsolete CMM0014 amplifier.

The amplifier is a 50Ω matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. Applications for this device include military, space and communications systems.
