Mitsubishi announces GaN PAM for 5G-Advanced
Compact PA module will speed installation and boost power efficiency
Mitsubishi Electric has developed a compact 7GHz band GaN power amplifier module (PAM) for 5G-Advanced base station with what it claims is the world’s highest power efficiency.
The company says the module, which measures 12.0mm x 8.0mm (prototype), is designed to be easy to install as well as improving base station power efficiency.
Full technical details will be presented at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium 2025 (15–20 in San Francisco, CA, USA).
In addition, a joint live demonstration with Wupatec will be conducted at the event’s exhibition venue.
