OCP launches line of DWDM transmitters (New Devices)
Chatsworth, CA. Optical Communication Products (OCP) has unveiled a family of DWDM optical transmitters for metropolitan-area networks. The DWTX-48 series lasers are designed to work from 100 Mbit/s to 2.5 Gbit/s and meet or exceed SONET/SDH standards for DWDM OC-48/STM-16 Long Reach 1550 nm (80 km) specifications. They can also be used to transmit data in Fibre Channel, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet formats. The devices are housed in a low-profile 24-pin package and operate from a single +3.3 V supply. www.opc-inc.com
