Chinese order for Riber MBE system
'Optical Valley' company orders system to expand photonic component production
Semiconductor equipment company Riber has announced an order for an MBE production system from a new Chinese customer based in Wuhan Province's 'Optical Valley',
The customer is looking to expand its production capabilities for advanced photonic components.
According to Riber, the photonic components enable the fast increase of the traffic in optical fibre networks for applications such as fibre to the home, consumer access to high speed internet, as well as for the 4G mobile network.
The order will be delivered in the second half of 2018.
