Multi-year, global patent license agreement allows Daktronics to use Cree LED technology
Cree LED and Daktronics, a major maker of large-scale LED displays, have announced a multi-year, global patent license agreement (effective December 2024), that provides a license to Daktronics for Cree LED’s patented technology.
Cree LED has a number of patents protecting its technology. It has 35 years of expertise in LED die and packaging technology, along with a portfolio of IP covering their use in LED displays.
This agreement enables Daktronics to provide innovative LED display systems, knowing that its products will not be subject to claims based on the licensed Cree LED patents.
Specific licensing terms remain confidential.
