Lund University Selects TNSC MOCVD Platform

Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC) has announced that Lund University in Sweden will purchase and use a TNSC FR2000-OX MOCVD reactor for its advanced gallium oxide research and development.
This is Taiyo Nippon Sanso’s first gallium oxide reactor placement in Europe. "Taiyo Nippon Sanso is looking forward to working with Professor Vanya Darakchieva and the Lund University community to further its mission ‘to be a world-class university that works to understand, explain and improve our world and the human condition’,” said TNSC senior corporate Officer Kunihiro Kobayashi.
Darakchieva who is director of university's Centre for III nitride technology said the TNSC MOCVD system "enables Lund University to expand its epitaxial growth facilities with these state-of-the-art growth capabilities for oxide materials. We are eager to leverage TNSC technology to push the boundaries of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconductor research and development.”
The MOCVD reactor will be installed at the Solid State Physics Laboratory in Sweden, a shared user facility servicing the nitride and oxide materials community.
