Distribution giant appointed to extend customer access and support in EMEA

GaN Systems has appointed the distribution giant Arrow Electronics to supply its range of 100V and 650V GaN transistors in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Commenting on the agreement, Tony Astley, director EMEA Sales at GaN Systems said: "This agreement further extends customer access and support to our industry-leading capabilities in power GaN transistors. As the demand for GaN technology grows worldwide, Arrow's extensive power team that combines technical and commercial experience provides the perfect platform for bringing GaN Systems' innovative technology to engineers in EMEA."

Matthias Hutter, vice president of product management and supplier marketing, EMEA at Arrow Electronics, added: "For some applications, engineers need to look beyond established solutions if they are to create ground-breaking products. GaN technology can deliver significant efficiency savings and GaN Systems offers a range of products to help make this happen."

Arrow maintains a network of more than 345 locations serving over 80 countries. In 2017, sales were $26.6 billion.
