Cree Expands Industrial Lighting range

News
Linear high-bay luminaires offer longer lifetime and higher efficiency

Linear fixtures are now being specified on approximately half of new construction and fluorescent retrofit high-bay installations. To meet this need, Cree is expanding its industrial lighting portfolio with the new LXB Series Linear High-Bay luminaires.

The LXB Series is said to feature enhanced efficacy, reliability and an extended lifetime, which makes it suitable for high ceilings, high ambient temperatures and high-profile spaces.

"The LXB Series significantly extends Cree's reach into the industrial new construction and retrofit market," said Craig Atwater, Cree senior vice president and general manager, lighting. "The new linear high-bay's exceptional thermal management enables operating temperatures as high as 55egC and offers more than 65 percent in energy savings when compared to traditional technologies like high-intensity discharge (HID) and fluorescents."

Eligible for DLC Premium certification at up to 160 lumens per watt (LPW), the LXB Series offers paybacks of 1.5 years and qualifies for maximum rebates. Installers can use existing wiring and mounting hardware for quick and simple replacement of existing linear fluorescent and HID high-bay fixtures at mounting heights of up to and greater than 50 feet.

Additionally, the LXB Series has a broad product breadth from 12,000 to 60,000 lumens in 4000K or 5000K correlated colour temperature (CCT) and is said to be virtually maintenance free.
