Thermco Opens second UK factory

News
New facility will support increased demand for horizontal thermal reactors and chemical wet-benches

Thermco Systems, a manufacturer of equipment for the semiconductor, power devices, MEMS, LED and photovoltaic sectors, has announced its expansion into a second manufacturing facility in West Sussex.

The acquisition of the new plant is part of Thermco’s planned growth strategy, implemented to support increased demand for its flagship range of horizontal thermal reactors and chemical wet-benches. .

The new facility follows the company’s recent acquisition of CSD Epitaxy in the US and its new strategic association with Kokusai Electric in Europe.

As a result of these developments, Thermco says its customers can now benefit from an increased range of quality semiconductor solutions across Europe, North America, Canada, Russia, China and other Asian locations,

These solutions now include: horizontal and vertical thermal reactors, batch epitaxy reactors, chemical wet-benches, batch-ashers, Four-point probes and other metrology, and next generation backward compatible control-systems

The new site, close to Thermco’s existing UK facility in Washington, West Sussex, will add significant manufacturing capacity for the business, allowing for the continued delivery of timely, quality solutions to its global customers.

Andrew Conning, Thermco Systems managing director, commented: “It’s been a very exciting year for Thermco in which we’ve seen our order book go from strength to strength and the business grow considerably. Our acquisition of CSD Epitaxy in California and the strong relationship we’ve built with Kokusai in Europe give us improved capability and capacity to meet our customers’ needs and deliver high quality engineered solutions.”
