Scintil to exhibit at Photonics West

News

CEA-Leti start-up to show wafer-scale integrated photonics technology 4-6 Feb in San Francisco

Scintil Photonics, a Grenoble-based start-up, will be exhibiting at SPIE Photonics West 2020, 4-6 Feb, San Francisco.

The company is developing silicon photonic integrated circuits that use wafer-scale bonding of InP on Si using commercial silicon foundry processes. The resulting integrated photonic circuits comprise multi-wavelength lasers, waveguides, wavelength filters, and photodetectors.

Scintil’s technology draws upon over 15 years of research in InP/Si lasers, silicon photonics and 3D packaging carried out at CEA-Leti. Besides very high-speed optical communications, Scintil technology promises advantages in Lidar applications.

Scintil is currently taking its innovative heterogeneous silicon photonic IC technology to an industrial level as it gears up for mass production.
