Wentworth Labs signs agreement with Kummer

Agreement covers Wentworth's range of wafer probers, probe cards and accessories

UK-based Wentworth Laboratories has appointed John P Kummer GmbH, a well-established supplier to the semiconductor industry, as its exclusive representative in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. Effective immediately, the agreement covers the promotion and sales of Wentworth's range of wafer probers, probe cards and accessories.

Kummer has served as a specialist distributor of instruments used in the manufacturing of semiconductors for several decades, in areas such as inspection, failure analysis and test for the Solar and Semiconductor industry but also for medical technology as well as the aerospace, automotive, sensor, and microelectronics industries.

Alan Christie, head of sales and marketing at Wentworth, comments: "Germany is the leading European market for semiconductor manufacturing, with a revenue of over €12.9 bn, so naturally an important market for Wentworth. We are delighted to partner with Kummer and their dedicated team of experts; their local knowledge and skills in the semiconductor test environment, will be invaluable to us."

Founded in 1980, Kummer holds a long history of representing top companies in their respective fields. The company has over 4,000 active customers with over 500 systems installed in the respective European territory. In-house service and application engineers provide installation, training, service and project management.
