Linton Crystal updates WINGS Software

News

New compatibility gives customers more flexibility in how they manage and save data

Linton Crystal Technologies has announced its recipe and data management system is now compatible with all modern web browsers.

Linton’s Web Integrated Grower Supervisor (WINGS) enables remote furnace management and data collection on connected Czochralski (CZ) process furnaces. This new compatibility gives customers more flexibility in how they manage and save data.

“WINGS has always made it easy for customers to collect and analyze data and manage recipes on all their furnaces simultaneously, right from their desktops,” explains Brad Evans, senior software engineer for Linton. “We recognize how people seamlessly move from window to window or web page to web page in their workflow, so wanted to update the web pages and background process of WINGS to fit into that flow for greater convenience.”

WINGS continuously monitors attached crystal growers from a remote location, reporting real-time status and recording all configured data for later review. In addition to browser compatibility, the update includes data compression enhancements, easier installation and maintenance, a new site status dashboard for quick overview of operations, and the ability to amend growth record entries with additional input and observations. WINGS also periodically saves images from its KrystalVision™ camera to a database for post-run review in the growth record. The system is still capable of networking with more than 100 growers with customizable viewing options and has administrator control over logins and authorized users for security purposes.

Linton designs, develops and manufactures equipment for producing monocrystalline ingots for the solar and semiconductor industries. The company specialises in silicon and produces equipment for materials such as germanium and GaAs.
