Camtek receives $18M equipment order

Compound semiconductor manufacturer orders multiple Eagle front end systems
Israel-based inspection and metrology firm Camtek has received a multiple systems order from a global compound semiconductor manufacturer totalling $18 million.
The order is for Camtek's latest front end Eagle model designed to handle the challenges of macro inspection and detect typical defects at full production rate. The Eagle systems are expected to be delivered starting from the second quarter of 2023 through early 2024.
Rafi Amit, CEO, commented: "This is an excellent start to 2023. The compound semiconductors market is expected to present strong growth in the coming years fueled by the automotive industry and other applications. This order demonstrates our competitive position and technology leadership in this segment."

The 13th CS International conference builds on the strengths of its predecessors, with around 40 leaders from industry and academia delivering presentations that fall within five key themes: Ultrafast Communication; Making Headway with the MicroLED; Taking the Power from Silicon, New Vectors for the VCSEL, and Ultra-wide Bandgap Devices.
Delegates attending these sessions will gain insight into device technology, find out about the current status and the roadmap for the compound semiconductor industry, and discover the latest advances in tools and processes that will drive up fab yields and throughputs.
