Pragmatic appoints new CFO

Pragmatic Semiconductor, the UK developer of IGZO (Indium gallium zinc oxide)-based FlexIC devices, has appointed Steve McCue as CFO, leading the company’s finance and corporate services divisions, and executive director to Pragmatic’s board of directors.
McCue, a chartered management accountant, has had a career of over 30 years in both CFO and operational leadership roles spanning high tech, electronics, advanced materials, packaging and pharmaceutical industries.
Most recently, McCue was CFO at Cambridge-based Cycle Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, he served as group CFO at Antalis, a packaging and visual communication media distribution firm, and held finance leadership roles at CP Kelco, a manufacturer, following a decade in operational and finance leadership positions at AVEX Electronics. McCue also brings international experience having lived and worked in multiple locations across Europe and Asia.
David Moore, CEO, Pragmatic Semiconductor said that McCue joins the company at an exciting time, "during a period of rapid growth, as we deliver our innovative FlexIC technology through our products, platforms and advanced manufacturing to service global customer demand.”
Just over a year ago, Pragmatic opened the UK’s first 300mm semiconductor wafer fab in Durham, to produce the company's FlexIC devices, which are for smart object and IoT applications in fields such as consumer, industrial, and healthcare.
McCue commented: “With the scale of global applications spanning multiple industries for our innovative FlexIC semiconductor technology, and the opportunity to bring my experience to bear in helping the business achieve its tremendous success, I very much look forward to the future”.
