The lab will initially be equipped with a PHI Quadrupole Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (SIMS), a CAMECA Magnetic Sector SIMS, and a Technos 300 mm wafer-capable Total Reflection X-Ray Fluorescence (TXRF) system, with plans to add additional equipment as the laboratory expands; further announcements are planned as details are finalized.

"We are excited about bringing to this high technology area our nearly 25 years of experience, and the skills and talents of our global network of employees, many of whom are distinguished leaders in surface and microanalysis," said Vince Franceschi, President and CEO of Charles Evans and Associates, and the Evans Analytical Group. "Being close to customers in and around Boston offers clear advantages in terms of turnaround time, flexibility, and access."
