LuxNet launches 1310 and 1550 nm pin diodes and ROSAs

LuxNet Corporation, Freemont, CA an emerging manufacturer of high- speed, high-reliability and wide temperature range operation optical components, has introduced its long wavelength 1310/1550nm InGaAs pin diodes and 1310/1550nm LC-ROSA (receiver optical sub-assemblies). These products, which utilize LuxNet s state-of-the art epi-growth and wafer fabrication techniques, are designed for use in Gigabit-Ethernet and ATM/SONET transceivers and meet the rigorous failure rate standards for today s telecom and datacom devices.

The unique features of LuxNet s InGaAs pin diodes are: low capacitance, very low dark current, high speed and very high sensitivity. The ROSA integrates an LC-type optical port with a TO-header that includes the high-speed PIN with a matching transimpedance amplifier.

"Our proprietary growth and processing techniques allow us to achieve very uniform and high yield of InGaAs PIN diodes across the wafer together with performance that is second to none", said Ghulam Hasnain, LuxNet s VP of Detector Technology.

LuxNet Corporation will be showcasing these and other new products at OFC, March 19-21, 2002, booth #760. Tina Wu
