News in brief from Sirenza, Conexant

Sirenza Microdevices achieves ISO 9001:2000 certification

Sirenza Microdevices has received approval to be registered to the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard. ISO 9001:2000 is a rigorous standard that builds upon the earlier 1994 ISO 9000 standard, to which Sirenza Microdevices is also certified. ISO 9001:2000 places increased emphasis on client satisfaction, management involvement and continual improvement. Registration approval was awarded by Quality Management Institute (QMI), of Canada, following an extensive independent audit of the company s system of quality standards and procedures.

"Certification to this top internationally recognized standard is a real tribute to the excellence and commitment of Sirenza Microdevices employees worldwide, stated Bob Van Buskirk, president and CEO. "This achievement affirms to our customers our unrelenting focus and continuous investment of vital resources in the quality of our products and services.

Avnet RF & Microwave offers Conexant s line of wireless infrastructure components

Avnet RF & Microwave is to distribute a new family of RF components from Conexant Systems that are designed to meet the performance, functionality and cost requirements of current and next generation cellular/PCS/GSM, 2.5 and 3G base stations. Conexant s wireless infrastructure family includes a broad range of high-performance RF and microwave components, including high dynamic range receiver front ends, dual fractional N synthesizers, ultra high linearity PA drivers, and a new line of high gain, linear PA modules.

Using advanced process and packaging techniques, Conexant offers a broad range of wireless solutions that satisfy both terminal and infrastructure demands. Covering frequencies from 160 MHz up to 2500 MHz, Conexant s linear MMIC PAs and PA drivers provide up to 1 Watt CW output power, and up to 45 dBm output third order intercept point (OIP3). The diversity receiver front ends, covering 700 MHz to 2200 MHz, include LNAs, mixers, buffer and driver amplifiers, attenuators and an LO switch at very low cost. They feature high input IP3 and low noise figure. Conexant s line of dual fractional N synthesizers operate up to 6.1 GHz, and feature low phase noise, fast settling time, and extremely low spurious.
