Agere and Multiplex settle litigation with cross-license agreement
Agere and Multiplex have signed a patent cross-license agreement and settled all pending litigation between the companies. In August, Agere filed two lawsuits for alleged patent infringement and property theft against Multiplex of Plainfield, New Jersey (Agere Systems files intellectual property and property theft lawsuits against Multiplex). The patent infringements were originally related to pump laser technology and emitters used in short and long haul applications. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
