Anadigics opens European wireless design center
Anadigics has launched a new technical development center in Denmark to concentrate on design support for European and Asian handsets.
Anadigics has opened a new wireless technical development center in Aalborg, Denmark. The new center adds to an existing design center in the UK and will focus on GSM, EDGE, and W-CDMA RF design support for European and Asian wireless handsets. Anadigics will also use the site to support next-generation GSM wireless products, including the company’s PowerPlexer GSM/DCS module. This module houses an InGaP HBT power amplifier, PHEMT switch and harmonic filters in a package containing a CMOS IC controller.
"Our new center in Denmark strategically positions Anadigics’ technical resources at the epicenter of the GSM reference design world," said Bami Bastani, CEO and president. "In Denmark, our team will be dedicated to working closely with reference design partners and key European and Asian handset manufacturers to deliver complex and highly integrated GSM solutions, from component levels all the way up to handset type approval. Anadigics’ total systems approach to providing RF solutions is central to growing our business, particularly in the growing Asian markets that rely more heavily on reference designs as well as GSM standards."
