WIN allies with Roke Manor Research
WIN and Roke Manor Research are partnering together to utilize WIN’s full spectrum of GaAs process technologies and Roke Manor Research’s many years of experience and expertise in RFIC and MMIC design.
"Coupling WIN s state-of-the-art process technologies with Roke Manor Research s expertise in RFIC and MMIC design will provide customers with a complete solution from design to finished parts," said Simon Yu, GM and Associate VP of North America and Europe sales at WIN. "This will greatly decrease the product turn around time for IDM, fabless, module and system clients which is key in rapidly growing industries such as telecoms and automotive."
"This alliance will provide our customers with the one-stop shop ability to achieve custom MMIC solutions, quickly, efficiently and with an optimum cost result - especially for high volume, fast time to market, commercial wireless products," said Roger Hopper, leader of the GaAs IC Group at Roke Manor Research. "By combining our PHEMT receiver and HBT power amplifier design experience, with WIN s fast turnaround, 6-inch wafer processing capabilities, we are confident that we can provide the best design solution for our customers."
WIN offers free ADS design kit for power PHEMT process
WIN Semiconductors also announced the availability of a comprehensive process design kit for the Agilent Technologies EEsof Advanced Design Systems (ADS) simulation environment. The WPP15 Process Design Kit (PDK) is for WIN s 0.15-micron power PHEMT process that is in volume production. The ADS PDK and its associated library cells and models are free of charge to WIN s foundry users and can be downloaded from WIN s website.
