VPEC to supply HBT epiwafers to Skyworks
VPEC, based in Taipei, Taiwan will act as a second source for Skyworks, which is known to have a major supply contract for HBT wafers with Kopin.

GaAs HBT is the technology of choice for a variety of wireless communications devices, including power amplifiers for digital cellular handsets and third-generation (3G) wireless voice and data products.
