Skyworks and Mimix both earn ISO 9001:2000

Skyworks Solutions and Mimix Broadband have both attained the ISO 9001:2000 quality certification.
Skyworks Solutions has received the ISO 9001:2000 certification across all of its major design, development and manufacturing sites.

The facilities recognized by ISO include Skyworks AlGaAs and InGaP HBT wafer fabrication plant in Newbury Park, CA where the company manufactures power amplifier modules; the PHEMT, MESFET and silicon wafer fabrication plant in Woburn, MA which is responsible for manufacturing the company s switch and control products; and the assembly and test facility in Mexicali, Mexico.

"Skyworks is committed to continuously improving customer satisfaction levels, and these robust systems have enabled us to receive several quality awards from major global customers," said Nien-Tsu Shen, VP of quality at Skyworks.

Skyworks received certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an independent foundation that offers ISO certification worldwide.

Mimix recommended for ISO 9001:2000Mimix Broadband, Inc., a fabless MMIC supplier, has been recommended for registration to ISO 9001:2000 by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Mimix was previously registered by DNV to ISO 9001:1994.

The company says that achievement of this new registration reinforces its focus on quality, which it describes as the cornerstone of the development of all business processes.

"This recommendation for registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard is the culmination of our entire team s effort to enhance and continually improve quality assurance and customer satisfaction," stated Rick Montgomery, CEO of Mimix Broadband.

Mimix recently closed an $8 million financing round.
