Nokia Networks extends Endwave supply deal
These transceivers, built around GaAs-based MMICs, are used as the core RF module for Nokia s FlexiHopper and FlexiHopper Plus microwave radios. The FlexiHopper radios are designed for use in cellular networks deployed in Europe and Asia. Once integrated within the radio, Endwave s transceiver modules enable significantly increased spectral efficiency as compared with previous designs.
This new contract is a two-year follow-on to the previous multi-year agreement between the companies that concluded on December 31, 2003 and covers sixteen separate modules over four frequency bands.
Further, this production agreement covers both the current transceiver design and the next-generation transceiver disclosed in the previously announced development agreement between the companies.
