STS opens Singapore office
UK-based semiconductor equipment supplier Surface Technology Systems (STS) has opened a sales office in Singapore.
Jazz Semiconductor has been presented with the Frost and Sullivan 2005 SiGe Processes Foundry of the Year award.
RF chip manufacturer TriQuint Semiconductor has appointed Stephanie Welty as chief financial officer (CFO), effective from 1 June.
UK-based semiconductor equipment supplier Surface Technology Systems (STS) has opened a sales office in Singapore.
The office will be headed by Ian Wright, director of Asia business development, and will provide local sales and service support to STS' customers in Asia and Australasia.
"We recognize how vital Asia is to the entire semiconductor market, and we see the region playing an even greater role in the future," remarked STS vice chairman Matsuo Makuda.
Jazz wins Frost and Sullivan awardJazz Semiconductor has been presented with the Frost and Sullivan 2005 SiGe Processes Foundry of the Year award.
Frost and Sullivan said that Jazz's significant contribution to promoting SiGe technology was to bring multi-fab modular capability to the SiGe market.
TriQuint appoints Welty as CFORF chip manufacturer TriQuint Semiconductor has appointed Stephanie Welty as chief financial officer (CFO), effective from 1 June.
Welty joined TriQuint in 1994 and was appointed VP of finance in 1999. She will replace Raymond Link, TriQuint's current CFO, who will stay with the company until 30 June.
