Aixtron sees soft landing after demand peak

The German epitaxial equipment maker is receiving fewer enquiries for its products, but is still confident that 2008 will be one of its most successful years ever.

Despite recording another quarter of “exceptional” order intake for its reactors in the first three months of 2008, Aixtron believes its demand cycle is reaching its peak.

With the adverse effects of the €/$ exchange rate making themselves felt in the Aachen, Germany, based company's finances, revenues and profits were essentially flat over the same period last year.
