Oclaro announces Prosario platform which delivers industry-leading brightness

Industry-leading brightness is delivered by Oclaro's Prosario platform, which is designed to meet reliability and performance requirements.

The next-generation Prosario fibre-coupled diode platform has been announced by Oclaro, a provider of optical components for industrial applications.

Up to 60 watts at 8xx nanometres from fibre diameters of 400-800 microns are delivered in an industry-standard footprint, proving to be an ideal drop-in solution for those who require system upgrades.

It was designed to meet the performance, cost and reliability requirements of the diode pumped solid state laser and direct diode medical and materials processing markets. An industry-leading brightness of 0.56 milliwatts per squared centimetre is also delivered.

The Prosario platform is based on next-generation precision micro-optics technology and optimised thermal management at package output which enables operation at higher powers while still benefitting from increased reliability.

"By providing the most comprehensive family of high-brightness fibre-coupled diodes in the industry today, our customers will be able to better serve their markets with the right level of performance, reliability and cost needed for the target application," said Yves LeMaitre, executive vice-president and division manager at Oclaro.

Oclaro has also reported that its new powerful seven watt 808 nanometre single emitter pump module has been designed to meet the increased reliability demands of neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet solid-state lasers.ADNFCR-2855-ID-19578004-ADNFCR
