Fourth quarter results published for TriQuint

TriQuint has announced its 2009 Q4 results.
Compound semiconductor developer TriQuint has announced its fourth quarter results for 2009.

The firm showed a 14 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue to $654.3million (£437.96 million) during the three-month period, with the fourth quarter gross margin up to 37.4 per cent GAAP and 38.4 per cent non-GAAP.

In addition, cash and investments increased by $19.3 million in Q4 to $153.9 million.

"Our strategy leverages our broad technology portfolio, providing customers with complete RF solutions that simplify their design efforts, yielding faster time to market, improved performance and reduced board space requirements," commented president and chief executive officer Ralph Quinsey.

He added that the firm is looking to expand on its progress in the high-volume and mobile devices markets, as well as positioning itself for a leadership role in the fields of networks, defence and aerospace.

The company specialises in the development of high-performance RF solutions using Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Surface Acoustic Wave and Bulk Acoustic Wave technologies.

It was founded in 1985 and operates facilities across three continents, including North America, Europe and Asia.
