Xenics to target high-end thermography

Xenics to extend its range of high-volume security and high-end thermography products.
Imaging solutions and infrared detection developer Xenics has announced it will extend its product portfolio to target the high-volume security and high-end thermography markets.

The firm plans to showcase a number of its new devices in the infrared (IR) imaging and thermography markets at this year s Defense, Security and Sensing conference which is taking place in Orlando, Florida between April 5th and 9th, including its Meerkat, Xlin, Onca, Bobcat, Gobi and Cheetah ranges.

"We are broadening our product portfolio, as well as our strategic presence in new markets, changing from a mainly technology-driven to a fully market-driven approach," commented Xenics founder and chief executive officer Bob Grietens.

The company claimed its indium gallium arsenide devices will revolutionise global markets in short-wave infrared spectroscopy, imaging and non-contact temperature measurement.

Xenics products are aimed at the most active range of IR from one to 14 micrometers and have applications in commercial, industrial, medical, security-related and scientific fields.
