H-Square unveils new ergonomic tweezers
Customized tips and spring loading provide consistent force eliminating strain on the operator
H-Square Corporation which has been manufacturing cleanroom equipment used in the semiconductor industry since 1975, yesterday unveiled the Nu-twEZer.
Since their commercialization over 500 years ago, tweezer design has hardly progressed so the new design has not come a minute too soon. The ESD safety protects semiconductor chips from damage and stray particles from sticking to the tool, improving cleanliness.
Furthermore, the new product reduces the chances of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which can be caused from continued use of tweezers.
High temperature and chemical resistant tips are available and they can be customized to fit non-standard chip trays and securely hold odd shaped objects. Optional color coding would prove useful in a cleanroom environment and a range of spring tensions are also available.
The Nu-twEZer is available for less than $200.
