Skyworks unveils new power amplifier products

Skyworks Solutions has launched five new power amplifier products.
Skyworks Solutions has announced the release of five new power amplifier modules (PAMs).

Each of the devices uses a single gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit and includes on-board bias circuitry, as well as input and inter-stage matching circuits, Semiconductor Today reported.

Skyworks stated: "The fully matched ten-pad surface-mount PAMs support all required modulations for a given frequency band, including CDMA, WCDMA and LTE handsets and datacards, as well as enabling a variety of compatible baseband/radio frequency architectures."

The devices are manufactured using the company s indium gallium phosphide GaAs heterojunction bipolar transistor BiFET process and have been designed to supply positive DC voltage supply operation, while maintaining high efficiency and good linearity.

Skyworks has a current share price of $15.70 (April 13th, 14:42 BST) and is floated on the US Nasdaq stock exchange. It specialises in the manufacture of linear products, power amplifiers, front-end modules and radio solutions for handset and infrastructure equipment.
