Philips Lumileds extends Future partnership
Philips and Future announce continuing collaboration.
Philips Lumileds has announced a continuation of its partnership with Future Lighting Solutions.
Future has enjoyed a ten-year collaboration with Philips as an exclusive distribution partner and this announcement further strengthens the relationship between the two firms.
As such, the company is to become a direct supplier of basic LED light engine components under the Philips LED licensing programme.
"This exciting expansion of our relationship will allow Philips and Future to enhance our offer to the OEM market, serving existing and new customers with a broader portfolio of LED lighting solutions and services," commented Rudy Provoost, chief executive officer of Philips Lighting.
Elsewhere, Future was recently awarded the Industry Leadership prize in LED Journal s annual Innova Awards.
It achieved recognition from the publication for its SSL Designer tool, having previously won the award in 2008 for its QLED Thermal Design and Simulation software - making this the second year in a row that the company has taken home this accolade.
