Riber Q1 2010 Sales up by 11%
Sales order backlog 30% higher than for the same period in 2009
Riber, a global provider of MBE tools used in the compound semiconductor industry, reported 1st quarter 2010 sales of € 2.9 million. A sales order backlog of € 9.1 million was also announced and this is a 30% increase compared to the same period in 2009.
Sales for Q1 2010 saw an increase of 11% from € 2.6 million in 2009 and are mainly attributed to sales associated with services and accessories of the RIBER and VG brands.
The backlog includes 7 machines to be delivered in 2010, one of which is manufacturing reactor sold at the end of March to a Russian firm.
As in 2009, two research tools were delivered over the 1st quarter although sales of cells and sources declined by € 0.3 million, compared to an exceptionally high 1st quarter in 2009.
An Annual General Meeting for shareholders has been scheduled for Thursday May 27, 2010.
