LedEngin’s LED 10W and 40W Emitters offer multiple possibilities

LedEngin will showcase its Multi-Color and White High-Power LEDs at Guangzhou International Lighting Exposition in China.

LedEngin, a solid-state lighting company specializing in high brightness LEDs, is introducing a 15W, 4-die (7mm x 7mm) package and a 40W, 12-die (9mm x 9mm) package. Available in RGB, RGBA, RGB-White multi-color LEDs and a full range of white LEDs, color temperatures range from 2700K to 6500K.

The CTE-matched materials and patented packaging technologies are chosen to optimize light output and minimize stresses resulting in color point stability and lumen maintenance well beyond industry standards.

The thermal resistance of 1.8° and 0.7° C/W respectively, allows industry highest power density from such small, high flux density light source, are essential for maximum flux in beam and “Lux on TargetTM”. The robust packaging allows the LEDs to meet JEDEC Level 1 Moisture Sensitivity Levels for unlimited product floor life. The robust product design thrives in outdoor applications with high ambient temperatures and high humidity.

“We are able to do this with superior uniformity across the beam and without compromising on the brilliance of the light.”

The 4-die and 12-die multi-color LEDs are claimed to provide a brilliance of colors across the entire color spectrum with outstanding color mixing and uncompromising performance. The ability to configure multiple red, green, blue (RGB) high-brightness die within a very small package creates superior, flexible in-source color-mixing due to dramatically reduced mixing heights, ideal for architectural, decorative and entertainment lighting applications.

The addition of amber in RGBA LEDs enriches the quality of the color further expanding the color gamut and maximizing color rendering while RGBW LEDs provide tunable white and softer pastels.

The powerful, compact 4-die and 12-die ultra-bright, ultra-high density white LEDs are suitable light sources for general lighting, down lighting, architectural and street lighting applications. The compact size allows for a more efficient optical system ideal for single emitter, single optic spot applications such as downlighting and accent applications. With 2000+ lumens in the 12-die Neutral (4100K), and Cool (5500K), White colors and 1500 lumens in Warm (3100K) White temperatures, LedEngin white LEDs are some of the brightest LEDs today.

Secondary Lenses. LedEngin Lens families are designed exclusively for LedEngin single, 4-die and 12-die LED packages. Lenses are available in 15°, 24° and 35° beams delivering the highest quality and quantity of light within the beam. The secondary optic maximizes usable light and provides a smooth light gradient with uniform color across the beam. These lenses, when combined with the 10W or 40W multi-color LEDs, produce perfect color uniformity across the beam without sacrificing the light intensity. There are no hot spots, shadows, rings or fringe effects that other lighting solutions, including other LED sources, exhibit.

“LedEngin has solved one of the major lighting challenges of architects and lighting designers by providing beautiful colors across the full color gamut with perfect color mixing for colored lighting and highly uniform beam quality for white lighting applications,” says Uwe Thomas, General Manager LED Business Unit. “We are able to do this with superior uniformity across the beam and without compromising on the brilliance of the light.”

LedEngin will be demonstrating the complete line of LEDs, lenses and Lighting products, June 9 – June 12 at the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, Guangzhou, China. LedEngin’s entire family of single and multi-color LEDs and lenses are available today.
