MCA BrightSpots HB-LED Forum To Start on October 4
The forum will explore fundamental questions about the ability of the existing manufacturing infrastructure to support advances and ensure long-term growth.
Many technological advances have the potential to improve the cost/performance ratio of high-brightness light-emitting diodes (HB-LEDs) such as increasing substrate sizes, adopting new automation and yield management strategies, and utilizing more efficient and effective substrates and materials.
But with limited resources, which options make the most economic sense and require the least amount of time to bring to fruition? Beyond the technology challenges lay fundamental questions about the ability of the existing manufacturing infrastructure to support these advances and ensure long-term growth.
The MCA BrightSpots HB-LED Forum will discuss these issues in a dynamic two-week-long discussion beginning October 4. Registration is free.
The forum will be moderated by Tim Whitaker , Editor & Publisher of LEDs Magazine. Panelists will include
David Bour, Chief Technologist, LED Product Technology, Applied Materials
Manish Ranjan, Vice President of Product Marketing, Advanced Packaging and Nanotechnology Markets, Ultratech
Willem Sillevis Smitt, Director of Strategic Marketing, Philips Lumileds
Thomas Uhrmann, Business Development Manager, Compound Semiconductors and Si-based Power Devices, EV Group
John Wilson, Consulting Engineering Manager, WRO, Mechanical Analysis Division, Mentor Graphics
