Cree and Lighthouse To Provide Massive LED Displays In US

The two North American-based firms will collaborate to provide LED video systems to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee and the Matthew Knight Arena at the University of Oregon.

Lighthouse, a global provider of LED displays, particularly to the US sports scene is building its LED video screens with American-brand LEDs from Durham, NC-based Cree.

Lighthouse is able to present LED video solutions to American venues with a significantly higher percentage of US-originated materials than its competitors. Sixty five percent or more of Lighthouse product components are sourced from US-based companies such as Cree.

“We’re just beginning to get the word out,” said Ed Whitaker, Lighthouse NASA Director of Sales. “By teaming with Cree, not only do we offer a better product than our competitors at a better price, we offer a more American product than our competitors. It’s a compelling reason for facilities to go with Lighthouse.”

Cree contributes market-leading LED innovation and a product developmental scope beyond LED video screens. Cree’s vast experience in other lighting disciplines is apparent every time a Lighthouse LED video screen fires up to entertain and inform the crowd.

“The value of having American-based Cree on our team is significant,” continued Whitaker. “Their expertise is undisputed. And their innovation places our LED video screens on the cutting-edge of what is available and what is possible for every kind of venue. Cree LEDs give our video screens even more impact.”

Lighthouse and Cree have teamed up on recent installations such as the American Airlines Center, Long Island Ducks, and the Southern Illinois Salukis. In the near future, Cree and Lighthouse will collaborate to provide LED video systems to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee and the Matthew Knight Arena at the University of Oregon.

Lighthouse Technologies is a global provider of LED displays that develops, manufactures, and markets products for multiple indoor & outdoor applications, media and entertainment events, and sports arenas across the globe.
