Orders in for InnoLas IMPALA Laser Systems

The firm has received a number of orders for its laser system used in thin film solar cell production targeted towards CIS and CIGS manufacturers. In order to cope with the order volume, InnoLas has opened a further production facility close to Munich.

Over the last few months, InnoLas Systems GmbH, a specialist for laser processing systems, has been awarded orders for the delivery of process equipment for the manufacture of thin film modules with a total annual production volume output of 300 MW.

In particular, several customers from all over the world have ordered the IMPALA series machines which focus on copper indium selenide (CIS) and CIGS processing.

The IMPALA is a large format laser processing system with a panel size of up to 1600 mm.  With multi-laser operation and parallel processing, the tool ensures high throughput using several tool heads. Innovative handling concepts and the option to apply through-the-glass processing minimise damages and soiling during the course of the structuring process.

InnoLas Systems: Manufacturing at the Krailling company site

In order to secure production capacities sustainably with a continuously growing order volume, InnoLas has opened a further production facility very close to its headquarters in Krailling. Some 1,500 m2 have been added for manufacturing and 400 m2 office space. This expansion doubles the current production area. The main building already houses 1,500 m2 for production as well as further 1,000 m2 for offices and laboratories.

"In view of full order books and expansive business developments, this step was merely a logical consequence", says InnoLas Sales Manager Alejandro Becker. "It guarantees that we can continue to process customer enquiries and implement further technological developments fast, flexibly and reliably."
