Heraeus to present results on rotatable targets for CIGS
The German headquartered firm will describe its rotatable targets which include ternary alloy CIGS, pure indium and CuGa targets.
Martin Schlott, Global Head of R&D from the Thin Film Materials Division (TMD) of Heraeus, will speak on the topic of high efficiency, rotatable sputtering targets developed for CIGS at the 54th Annual Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) Technical Conference being held in Chicago, Illinois on April 16 - April 21, 2011.
Heraeus has manufactured targets specifically tailored to the CIGS thin film photovoltaic technology since the 1990’s. Achieving the appropriate material properties in these targets is critical for yielding uniform film deposition and high sputter rate processes that enable the formation of a high quality, low cost absorber layer.
During the April 18th session, Schlott will present sputter data and results from the development and testing of these targets in Heraeus’ sputter applications lab. Specific rotatable targets to be discussed include CuGa, pure indium, and ternary alloy CIG targets.
Heraeus TMD sales and technical representatives will also be present at booth #1205 in the SVC Exhibition Hall on April 19 – 20.
