Luminus to showcase latest LED projector technology

At International CES, the company is exhibiting a full spectrum of projector products integrating its LED technology, ranging from a 50 lm pico projector to a 4000 lm hybrid projector

Luminus Devices, the developer and manufacturer of high light output Big Chip LEDs, will be demonstrating the latest projector products illuminated by the company's projection chipsets.

Invited visitors will get a chance to see a side-by-side demonstration featuring an LED projector with brightness comparable to a traditional lamp-based projector rated at 2200 ANSI lumens. Confirming its focus on higher brightness mainstream projectors targeted to business and education markets, the company will also display a 4000 lm hybrid LED/Laser projector based on its latest Red and Blue LED technology solutions.

In the ultra-portable projectors category, Luminus will demonstrate several projectors rated at performance of up to 500 lm as well as a technology demonstration previewing the next generation of products.

"The latest advances in brightness of our Big Chip LEDs continue to bring all the benefits LEDs have to offer to more segments and applications within the projection space, now including mainstream data projection," said Stephane Bellosguardo, Director of Global Product Marketing, Display Business Group, Luminus Devices.

"Through sustained R&D investment and product innovation, Luminus is now demonstrating that we are well positioned to expand in the mainstream front projector market which is forecast to grow to over 9 million units per year by 2013."

Luminus will be demonstrating these latest technological advances at CES between January 10 and 13, in room C202, Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada.
