Rich Hossfeld to pioneer CIGS market at MiaSolé
With a deep knowledge of the energy and solar industries, Hossfeld has served as vice president of business development at both First Solar and Fluidic Energy
The manufacturer of CIGS thin-film photovoltaic solar panels has appointed Richard Hossfeld as Vice President of Global Business Development and Sales.
He will also be part of the company's executive management team.
Hossfeld has proven experience in developing and leading market entry and go-to-market strategies in North America, Asia and Latin America. During his tenure at First Solar, the company entered the North America market, compiled a 2.2 GW pipeline of contracted projects, acquired project development and EPC businesses and launched operations in Asia. Prior to joining First Solar, Hossfeld practiced corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.

MiaSolé recently announced that it has launched production of its 14 percent efficiency panels at its facility in Silicon Valley, California, representing a greater than 30 percent increase year over year. The company has also achieved a 17.3 percent champion CIGS solar device.
