Soitec’s Rainer Krause, announced as guest speaker at CS International Conference, Frankfurt
CS International are pleased to announce Rainer Krause, Director Smart Cell Incubator Unit -Soitec has been confirmed as a guest speaker for the Compound Semiconductor industry's premier international event, CS International, which will held in Frankfurt, Germany on 4th & 5th March 2013. His presentation will be on PV Chip Development.
Educated as an Electrical Engineer and Physicist with a Ph.D. He spent several years at Digital Equipment Corporation within the storage technology and Hard Disk Drive development in Germany and in the USA.
He was the Wafer fab backend manager at French Magnetic Recording Head Company. Spent 15 years at IBM in Mainz, Germany where he held various positions as Engineering Manager for automation, test engineering and lithography.
His last position as Manager of the semiconductor technology centre Integrated Supply Chain to support IBM worldwide semiconductor and server activities. Within IBM with additional responsibilities like, Senior Technical Staff member, Master Inventor, Innovation Champion and member of the Technical Expert Council.
He Joined Soitec in January 2011 as the Director for the smart cell platform and new cell concept development and is leading the III-V CPV cell R&D and development efforts within Soitec.
Rainer will join the two day event with speakers coming from a wide range of organisations including leaders from Intel Corporation, Aixtron, Epistar Corporation, RF Micro Devices (RFMD), TriQuint Semiconductor and over 30 other leading chipmakers giving their perspective on the latest developments in device technology.
