Compound Semiconductor brought to life on all devices
The January/February 2015 digital issue of Compound Semiconductor has been published on a brand new platform called Publishing Ninja. The team at Publishing Ninja hopes to revolutionise the way digital content is delivered.
"We felt the time was right at Compound Semiconductor to change the way we created and distributed our digital magazine. We wanted to make use of the latest technology and to create content for all devices," said Sukhi Bhadal, multimedia director of the magazine.
"Tablet and smart phone sales are growing and expected to double by 2017. The way our readers are viewing the magazine is changing and we wanted to make sure we catered for this," he added.
The Publishing Ninja platform allows the magazine to be created in HTML5 and CSS3 technology. Coupling this with responsive design, provides a magazine which is viewable on all devices.
"No more zooming in and out of articles, no more column layouts and no more Flash technology which is becoming obsolete on so many devices," said Bhadal.
"It was important for us to provide our readers with an intuitive way to navigate our digital magazine and we believe Publishing Ninja allows us to do this."
