QD Vision Named Edison Award Finalist

Color IQ quantum dot technology recognised for innovation

QD Vision, a US manufacturer of quantum dots for displays, has been named a 2015 Award Finalist by the Edison Awards. The awards, inspired by Thomas Edison's persistence and inventiveness, recognise innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy.

"It's exciting to see companies like QD Vision continuing Thomas Edison's legacy of challenging conventional thinking," said Frank Bonafilia, Edison Awards' executive director. "Edison Awards recognises game-changing products and services, and the teams that brought them to consumers."

"It is a tremendous honour that our Color IQ technology has been recognised by the Edison Awards judges as innovative and inspirational," said Seth Coe-Sullivan, co-founder and CTO of QD Vision. "Our team worked hard to deliver the first commercially-viable quantum dot solution to the display market, where our products are boosting color performance and reducing energy consumption every day."

Edison Award nominees are judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the US whose votes acknowledge the Finalists' success in meeting the award's criteria. Award winners will be announced April 23, 2015 at the Edison Awards Annual Gala, held in New York.
